From Yashiro Gakuin to Kobe International University
Photos Depict Their Evolving 50 Years
The university was founded half a century ago in 1968 by Father Hinsuke Yashiro, Presiding Bishop of the Anglican Episcopal Church in Japan, during the post-war era when Japan was rebuilding, recovering, and beginning to make economic strides. The journey from foundation to today has been by no means an easy one, however, and the school has faced numerous challenges and difficulties along the way.
